Babit, Eggs, and Candy. It's Easter...

"On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain."

Easter Sunday was, I can't even put it into words.  Our church service, was:  Moving.  Needed.  Humbling.  A much needed reminder for all who attended, where our thanks every day should begin and end; in the glory of the Lord.

After the service, the youth group leader and pastor Vivian put things into motion for the children to hunt Easter Eggs.

Jayla could not wait to get started, and I am sure the same feeling was felt though out each child who waited as well.

Plastic colorful Easter Eggs were hidden {in plain sight} for all the children to find.  Each member of the church brought enough eggs for their child to hunt, some brought extra.  Then all the Easter eggs were put together, and placed in the grassy areas of the church.  Seeing all the colors in the green grass was so pretty.  Then the youths were split into groups.

Arianna and Eli were in the smallest group of course, consisted of only 4 children.  This group was able to hunt for eggs first.

Garrett was placed in a group of children closest to his age and size.  Along with Jayla, and she was so worried that the other children would run faster then her and she wouldn't be able to pick up alot of eggs.

Before to long, the children lined up.  The younger ones were sent to the grassy area to the right of the church.  Let the hunting begin...

Arianna followed behind Eli, and mirrored Tabitha every move.  That's why Arianna in squatting down next to Tabitha.  She is to much.  Once we pointed out the colored eggs and encouraged her to pick them up, she went into full action.

Spotting the color plastic eggs... sooo cute !!

Eli learning the art of Easter Egg Hunting... How handsome he is in his outfit..

Arianna is so cute in her little dress...

Yay, Eli picked his first Easter Egg... He held onto that blue egg for quite a while...

What could make the day any better... a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny.  Compliments of Marshall's and Marshall's.

The owner brought over the long ear wonder for all the children to visit with.  The older children looked at the white fury hopper, said how cute he was and walked away, the younger children on the other hand stood and watched at the long eared bunny until their eyes got their fill.

Back to picking up eggs,  for a little bit that is...

Then, back to checking out the Bunny Rabbit.  Although Arianna said "Babit., Neya"

Nothing is complete until you share the moment with your sister...

Touching the Bunny wasn't so bad, as long as it was his backside....

Last year, the church split all the children into groups and we ended up with three groups of children. This year, there was only two.  I wasn't able to help Arianna and watch Jayla and Garrett hunt Easter Eggs, this was very upsetting to me.  I missed them both running for eggs, laughing with their friends, and filling their baskets.  Jayla did pick one of the money eggs, $5.00, and she was very happy about that.  Easter was wonderful.. spent with family and friends.
